“Generosity, kindness, and respect towards our fellow citizens have been part of my family’s guiding principles. I have also adopted these great values to guide me on my journey in life and professionally. At an early age I became interested in science. Having a father who was a physician certainly helped shape my career goals, as I sought to emulate him in healing the sick. I feel privileged to have been mentored by great physicians including my own father; this was the foundation upon which I have built working for over 3 decades as a gastroenterologist.

Working as a volunteer physician doing service medical missions in the Peruvian Amazon for 10 consecutive years and providing medical care to the indigenous people of the jungle has also anchored me, time after time, into “My Calling” and mission as a “Healer.” For this I am grateful.
